Give An Opinion [Why do you like making AMVs?]

Post by Denieru Arekisu » Tue Nov 11, 2003 1:50 pm

Hi, I'm newbie here...
And I want to know something, people: why do you enjoy making AMVs?
It's hardworking... hobbye? Or job? Or is there other reasons to stay hours and hours in front of your PC? I want to know...

[I can't speak (or write) in english very well, but I try!]
[If you find some error]

Why do I make AMVs? Because it's fun! That and it's also nice to hear from folks that like to watch the videos I make. That really puts a smile on my face ^_^

That's the point. Why is fun? I like maths, for me they're fun, but i suppose that you think the opposite... What makes AMV's a fun activity? I think that is very hard to make one!

if you dont find something fun and you have a choice, don't do it =/
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

i like a good challenge. yes, making AMVs is hard, that's what makes it fun! if it were easy, i'd get bored with it and move on... but it's not easy. it keeps me pushing forward to complete something that can be considered art. it's.... hard to explain, i guess. all i know is that ever since the first time i saw an AMV, i wanted to make one too. that was 4 years ago...

time flies, eh?

i agree with everyone else. If you REALLY want to make one then what i usually do is pick an anime i have seen recently and listen too lots of music! The best way to find the right song. :P .

I really wish I knew.

I'm still pretty new to creating AMVs myself. Armed with only Windows Movie Maker 2 I'm not exactly the best out there and I know that. But I get some satisfaction when I learn a new "trick" each time I attempt a vid. This vid's lesson....lip synching. :P

I kinda like being able to do something that no one else in my family can do. Thing is...they have no idea I've even made any vids at all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

It gives me something to do with my otherwise boring life, gives me a purpose if you will. When I make something that's actually good, I can derive a certain sense of achievement from it. When other people like them, I can be secure in knowing that at least there's something that I can do well and enjoy at the same time.

And no one's ever ordered me to stop.

The chills I get when I manage to couple a scene really well with the music.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
