Sunrise World War and it might not be coming out in North AmericaFarmboybob wrote:Gundam Battle Assault 1 and 2 are ok fighting games.
There is a new mecha game coming out for the PS2 in America soon I hope. I don't know the exact name, but it's something like "Sunrise World Tour" or something. Is like Gundam Battle Assault but much better graphics and characters from Big-O, Armored Trooper Votoms, Cowboy Bebop, Silent Mobius, and some others.

There is also a Violinist of Hameln game for SNES that is absolutely HILARIOUS. You can download the ZSNES and the game here!

While unfortunately neither of these are for the Gamecube, I seem to recall a Saikano game for the PS2, a Battle Angel Alita game for the original PS. On the other hand, there is a Naruto fighting game being released for the GC, as well as one called Gotcha Force, which isn't based off any one anime per se, but it has a definite anime style. I don't think any but Gotcha Force will be released outside of Japan anytime soon, (December 2nd for that one).
That's all I can think of for now.

Let us not forget the infamous Eretzvaju . . . also known as Evil Zone! Ugh, the gameplay SUCKS! No challenge to play this game at all. But the character designs are nifty and I like the stories. There's also a great image gallery available. If only I could play it hearing the original voice actors, they have a GREAT cast sporting actors like Seki Tomokazu, Hidaka Noriko, and Inoue Kikuko.

Evil Zone ruled. Really over-the-top moves with every single anime fighting game cliche imaginable thrown in, and then some. And really good story elements too.
