How would you like it, if while surfing your favorite porn site, you found nothing but Disney cartoons (we are talking REAL disney cartoons [ie: lion king, or little Toy Story, not that bullshit where people draw Disney characters nude).

You go to a porn site, you expect porn, not disney animation.
You go to an AMV site, you expect AMV's, Not Harry Potter music videos.
The point is, everything has it's place. And Harry Potter and Counterstrike music videos (regardless of what music it is set to) does not belong on the ORG.

I would have expected you to understand this Wonka.

ahem... As for Nightowls argument, I spoke of this story before.

To play devil's advocate again, here's one problem I find with it.

Sure, mean old men, sure, toys etc.

BUT WHERE IS THE MONEY? WHERE IS THE COMMODITY?

I'm sorry, AMV's are art, and art is not a commodity. Just because you're an artist, doesn't mean you have to be nice and marketable to people

I posted a comic I drew once that was sort of about this... It's since been gone, but I think I might have to post it again.

Again, personally, though I think people can be harsh on noobs, the view of AMV's as a commodity I find somewhat offensive.

i posted that same thing when i first saw it in the mod box. maybe if we all complain theyll do some thing about it. just the other day i droped another Harry Potter vid in the mod box dont know if its still there or not.

You know some people compile AMVs, convert them into VCD or SVCD format and then sell them to people...I'm just sayin.

And uh, money doesn't always have to be involved for something to be a commodity, a lot of times the commodity is ego, fame, celebritism. Just a thought.
