ah! ha! the solution to new members questions
A test.....thats right......make them read the guide and then take a short quiz on what is in there....that way we can flame them even more when they asked a question in the enterance exam. Or maybe not....

No I don't think we should do that. Some people aren't even creators only fans of anime. So they don't even need to read the guides. At least not until they want to make AMVs.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I think a quiz is a good idea, but not for discriminating between members. I am always up to challenge other members to see where I rank in knowledge, but I think its bad to use it as a prerequisit for posting in a forum or even possibly becoming a member. I believe Phades intentions where to create a community of people with a common interest not an elite society. I would be in favor of creating an elite group within a-m-v.org of members who have provide outstanding contributions or provided more help then normal to other members. By the way a quiz has been suggested several times including by me.
I also believe that even though its annoying and there are guides, I think the forum does provide a unique tool for answering questions. Not everyone has a complete understanding of the english language. Though I understand the guides, there are many who probably wouldn't. People would call those people stupid, as would I, but I still realize that its not everyones forte and flaming posts at least in my case I reserve myself until A member has demonstrated the most laziness or insists upon someone else doing the work for them.
