now the real question comes up that ive been emaning to ask

Im a christian guy coming from a christian family. Is Hellsing appropriate for me? My dad was very disgusted with Samurai X. Like whats in it? Blood? Violence? Swearing? Sex?

Just makin sure.

My dad went insane when he saw Kenshin slicing the mans face in half so I want to make sure he won't ground me for wtahcign this.

Kinda funny story, my dad hates Samurai X and thinks it's disgusting but I got my mom to like Samurai X because of it's story
Blood? Yes.
Violence? Yes. For goodness sake, Alucard has the biggest friggen pistol in the world.
Swearing? If there is, then it's not much or I missed it all.
Sex? Don't think so. At least not in the episodes I saw.

The series is kind of religious but (speaking as a christian guy from a christian family as well) I loved the series.

It has everything but sex. Alucard shooting through people, weird demon things coming out and chewing people(although you don't see it), a guy named Jan saying things like:
(highlight it if you want to see, it has swearing)
Jan wrote:Death's too good for her. I'm gonna fuck that bitch, shoot her in the head, and fuck her there.
There is also an underlying conflict between Roman Catholics and British Protestants. That pretty much sums up the questionable topics, I think.

Oh yeah, that. Well, it is kinda discrete, i.e. nothing shows, if you know what I mean.

And most of the zombies he shoots don't really bleed, they turn to dust.

Well wat i've seen so far, which aint too much it is very violent and gruesome. I wouldnt recommend showing it to kids under 15 or 16 because of that. There is cussing, like what anime doesnt; but i havent seen any sex on it. Its more of a violent vapire series. If you like that then go for it, but it does deal with some religious stuff, so be careful. If u wanna read it befor watching it check their official site. 8)

Do NOT under ANY condition watch that show with your father!!!! Kenshin is one thing, but.... Don't get me wrong, I love Hellsing, and if you've been into anime for some time most of what you'll see won't shock you - it will, however, horrify a strict Christian. Trust me, I know where your coming from. A parent walked in on me watching it once and I had to make a dive for the remote. Not fun. Not a pretty picture. It's not HEINOUS, but I really don't think your family would approve.

Actually, were it not for his unfounded dislike of anime, my dad would probably enjoy that one.

Although, I have to add that he's an agnostic and I'm 20, so no conflict there regardless...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
