that has to be a stupid quote if ive ever seen one, rushing helps get to the better leveling areas. rushing helps get past the boring first acts in the game which all suck untill 4, cause they are slow, and you get minimal exp from them. ive played through d2 far too many times to even care about those anymore, last time i actually went for the sole purpose of leveling, i did a bunch of cow runs.

Not to pick sides or anything, but Patch 1.1 made it MUCH harder to rush by making Hell much more harder, I haven't tried it out yet cause I've been playing with my Necros (one on TCP/IP and one on bnet)

And the exp from cows has been greatly decreased, same with the drops from magic find runs...

xp is distributed more evenly on mosnters now so there's no need to rush. anyway, have fun.
