Anime Parodies *Yay!*
Does anyone have any favorite anime parodies they would like to share? I'm sure we're all familiar with Strong Bad's "Japanese Cartoon" (if not, go to http://homestarrunner.com/sbemail57.html. You will like this.)
But one of my favorites is Eva Park. Here ya go!

I want to see more anime parodies, so if you have a favorite, post it! ^_^

The Magnificent Seven [Britt has just shot a fleeing bandit off his horse.]
Chico: That was the greatest shot I've ever seen.
Britt: The worst! I was aiming at the horse.

Too bad they don't seem to update anymore.
I'm also fond of <a href="http://www.geocities.com/asukalangleyso ... l">Asinine Eva</a>... the comics are generally hilarious. And Kaoru with wings is just so cuuuute.

(No, I'm not gay. And neither is Kaoru. Though he might be in the new Iron Maiden/Girlfriend of Steel 2 manga they're putting out in Japan.)

I saw this one parody of EVA a few years back, but I can't remember where it's from. It was just a picture of central dogma, with still images of the characters that would pop up whenever they talked. The whole thing was them talking about how they might be able to make a sequel to the show.
They get into things like production costs, ("I know, NERV has a blackout! We'll do an all-sound anime!" as the screen goes black), character development, (they give Pen-Pen lines, and he goes ballistic), and so forth. It was hilarious, and I wish I could remember what it was called. It was all in Japanese, btw.

Um, yeah, that was the "Drama" track from the Addition CD, aka "Shuukyoku no Tsudzuki", aka "Shin Sentai Evangelion". I've never seen video put to it (where did you get that?!), but I've heard it and read along to a <a href="http://www.csua.berkeley.edu/~fre/trans ... slation</a>.Gaikotsu wrote:I saw this one parody of EVA a few years back, but I can't remember where it's from. Very funny stuff. Basically GAiNAX writing their own fanfiction. Highly recommended.

Thanks Scintilla, at least I know a little more about it now. I saw the video about 2 years ago at a small anime convention on campus. I'm pretty sure the guy who showed it is gone by now, so unfortunately I couldn't ask him where he got it from.

Aw geez! How could I have forgotten? If you've seen Slayers (and Slayers Next), Hamlet: the Manga is a work of pure genius. But it's moved; the new URL is: http://amethyst-angel.com/hamlet.htmein-stein wrote:Also some interesting stuff at http://www.cloudnet.com/~dietzt/amethystangel2.htm.
