Koo, wat those anime about, action, etc.. Yeah some of the tv anime does add more dept and sometimes i just get lazy to read the manga, especially if its like 14 or more books, lol.MAS PRODUCTIONS wrote:I somewhat disagree. Although in many cases the manga is indeed better than the anime, there are rare occasions where I feel that the anime way out did the manga. Two examples of this would be Nadesico and Vandread. Both the anime were severally different from the manga and the anime added a level to the story in which is much better.Jonathan02us wrote:The manga is always better, just like movies that are make from books, the book always have more detail that is left out in the movie. Hmm... not necessarily. Actually, the best situations are when they complement each other. Take Fruits Basket (no, I'm not obsessed with the series...) The basic storylines are the same, but they're each developed slightly differently, though in the same general direction. Essentially, you learn things in the manga that you didn't learn in the anime and vice versa. It works really well.Jonathan02us wrote:The manga is always better, just like movies that are make from books, the book always have more detail that is left out in the movie. Yeah in love hina they did have changes from the manga to the series but the main idea was there, and the manga did add a lot of interesting things to the story which i liked.Trident wrote:Hmm... not necessarily. I also really liked the Cowboy Bebop manga (not the Shooting Stars one, the other) because it didn't try to change the story. It just added different, unanimated episodes in the life of the crew. You can't read them independently, but if you liked the anime, it's three more volumes of funness...
It's about this family who has been cursed--there are at least fourteen people at any given time in the family who are specifically under the curse for life (12 zodiac animals, a cat, and Akito in the role of God). Whenever one of the twelve or the cat is hugged by someone of the opposite sex, they turn into their zodiac animal. And there's this girl who randomly winds up living with the family and heals a lot of their pain and stuff. It's shoujo, but it's really good. One of my friends says that she's only met one person who didn't specifically like it (even big tough guys like it). It's really fun. I watched the series twice in a row and then found a fan-translated version of the manga online and read what I could of it (unfortunately, it wasn't all translated, but they're going to start releasing it translated in a few months, I think).Jonathan02us wrote:I heard about fruit basket, what is that about?
