yes and no. i posses fan subs, but i have no real ownership of them, just the media they're saved on, which happens to be in my possesion.
Moonlight Soldier wrote: 2. If so do you destroy these when liscensed version come available?
not really, I wait till i'm done with them, then i keep them for a while so other people can download them.
Moonlight Soldier wrote: 3. Do you download anime that is already liscensed?
yes. i'm poor and cheap. Plus fan subs re a way for me to see if a show is worth me buying it.

4. (Please keep brief).... Do you believe fansubs of unliscensed anime helps to promote its release in areas other that japan?

Yes

Yes... although this hasn't come up with much of the stuff I have it's all either too new or simply isn't likely to get an Australian license. .hack\\sign is on my "to incinerate list" when the dvd finally are here.
Moonlight Soldier wrote: 3. Do you download anime that is already liscensed?
No... but I have borrowed liscensed anime off friends so my guilt is only secondhand (just like being an acessory to murder :? )

Yes... Although I must confess I do not see the point in US fansubbers subbing anime that are absolutely definetly going to get a license (in the US anyway) (ie Gundam SEED). If people sub obscure or new and unheard of anime then it's a surefire way to improve that animes chances of getting a license especially if it does well with the fans. Sometimes companies need to see that something has a fanbase before they'll think they can make money off it.

Apparently not.

Nope, I don't download any anime. (Other than AMVs)

Meh, it's a newbie.

And at least he didn't resurrect a two-month old thread.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

There are eight types of necroposting: treasonous, capital, serial, premeditated, in hot blood, accidental, justifiable and praiseworthy.

OK, maybe not praiseworthy.
