It isn't really that hard to ask you know.

I never ask for ops because I don't care about recieving them anymore. Not to say that I think the op system is bad, that I haven't recieved enough, or I'm getting bad ones but I just don't think they're important to me anymore because I wouldn't edit with the right state of mind if the only thing I wanted after posting a video here was a zillion ops. I'll take hanging out with other amv creators and my buddies at cons over ops, thank you.

However I'll be glad to give ops to anyone who asks.

Seriously, though, the announcement boad is only good if (a) you have people who go out and download unheard of editors' vids [something I, Braveliver, Sporkmaster, and a few others used to do], or (b) have people familiar with you who like to check out your new vids. Otherwise you probably won't get much feedback from there unless you have a catchy 'title' for the thread or do something people can yell at you about.

Best bet is the op exchange, but don't just use the free ops - get in there and exchange. That way you don't just get feedback, you get to converse with others about vids - you get to see what they're doing - and you can probably make 'friends' or acquaintances that way. The key is to get attention, but not like this.

This sort of thread just gets you sympathy or annoys people - negative attention doesn't do you much good in the long run. You want feedback? Go give some, don't wait around for handouts from people who are more likely to pay attention to people they know. Sad to say, but as much as I used to love getting new vids by new people, I just don't have the time anymore. I try to get the ones made by people I've reviewed in the past, or exchange with people who've reviewed my own. I rarely get new vids on the announcement board unless I recognize the user name.

Sorry, aura20, I'm not trying to hijack your thread. If it makes you feel any less sad, My favorite vid was downloaded close to 200 times off my direct link with no op, and now that its on the donut, still no op. You have to beg for reviews around here sometimes. Best thing I've found is to watch other peoples vids and learn what you can from the ones you really like, or go to the opxchange forum and barter and haggle with other editors.
