KaZaA, Morpheus, or other p2p programs.
I can guarantee you that, like, 98% of the stuff you find has quality that Sucks, but if you're cheap and desperate, go ahead and try...
I strongly recommend getting the DVDs. I used to use downloaded junk too and it's just not worth it. Trust me.

I am 1) new to this board and 2) am new at AMV making. Me and two of my friends are making an AMV, which is coming along OK for a first time. I have many ideas for future AMVs. One of which might be a fun expirement using SpongeBob Squarepants (I know its not anime but is a very cool show) and might use the song "Ha Ha You're Dead" by Greenday. The big question is, where do I get the clips? Did I mention I'm new at this?
The only way to solve all the world's problems is if the world just exploded.

step 1: Open up your fave p2p program (kazaa, winmx, etc) and search for Spongebob. You'll probably find a bunch of eps, but most of them will be in sucky quality or unusable formats.ukogss0715 wrote:I have many ideas for future AMVs. step 2: If you can't get enough source that way, buy a cheap capture card. This will run you ~$30-$60 depending on how little you want it to suck.
step 3: Tape the show off TV.
step 4: Connect the video out of your VCR to the video in of your capture card, and use VirtualDub to capture your clips. You could also record directly from your TV this way if you want to get your clips in pure digital (or as pure as it's gonna get).
If Spongebob is available on DVD, you should rent those if you can and rip from there, obviating most of the steps above. Even official VHS is better than broadcast-quality, but you'll probably want to buy rather than rent those for best quality. Degrades can become visible on VHS after as little as five viewings on a standard-quality VCR; what few videos I make from analog source I try to capture on the second viewing of the tape.
