Well, for your profession yeah, but I was assuming that Sarah was talking about everyday wear...motemote wrote:Ermm, yeh, for some of us we try to look neat and professional for our careers and for our own satisfaction. May be a thing that comes after high school.
What kind of clothes do you wear?

I think people should care what they look like. It may not be the most important thing about you, but it's definitely still a part of you. You should try to make yourself be the best you can. Even if you're not "naturally beautiful", you can still try to look nice, and you'll probably look at least sort-of pretty, if you care enough.
Anyway, I wear lots of different things. It depends on my mood, but it's usually flare jeans, a nice shirt (sweaters, now), some nice jewellery and makeup (whee, glitter!
), and then I'll attack my hair with a brush about ten times a day to get it un-frizzy...

I slap whatever's on, make sure I brush my teeth and hair(respectively, of course. ¬¬) put on antipersperant/deorderant and I'm on my way.Sierra Lorna wrote:I think people should care what they look like. So, in layman's terms... I guess I don't care.
Oh well.
Today I'm wearing blue jeans and a white sweatshirt that says "Quatre" on it in those fake diamonds. Personalized. Cool.
Now if only it JUST said "SQ"...

OMG, I wear the same thing EVERY DAY, sorta. All you will ever see me wear from September to May is black jeans, all black Converses, and a flannel. I must have about 30 flannels. And every day of the year you will see me wearing black jeans, 365 days a year. I haven't worn shorts since elementry school. And every now and then when it's cold I wear a black hoodie over my flannel.
I have such a wide variety.

I am, although I dress almost the same for work as I do for going somewhere outside work. (apart from, say, the grocery store, or to King's for coffee.)SQ wrote:Well, for your profession yeah, but I was assuming that Sarah was talking about everyday wear...motemote wrote:Ermm, yeh, for some of us we try to look neat and professional for our careers and for our own satisfaction. It is personal satisfaction. Keep in mind that after high school your clothes no longer define you. It's just clothes, part of how you present/express yourself, like what avatar you pick or how you design a website.
I wouldn't say it's deathly important to me; it's just that what I prefer is a) comfortable b) as flattering as possible and c) nondescript.
Just preference. It doesn't SAY anything about anyone, because as mentioned, it's not as important once you get past a certain point (right about when people start wearing pajamas to class every day because they live in the dorms two buildings away and got up three minutes ago. ;P)

Yeah, well, I never said clothes said anything... I said I don't care what I wear... So, if I had the opinion of "Clothes say who you are" then I dissed myself big time and was serious about it. =\
But you could've been talking to motemote, and I could be off on that dumbass streak of mine again...
