Might as well answer to this one. I bet everyone else is too tired with these same guestions asked over and over.

The best way to get anime is to just simply buy DVD's. Couldn't be any more simple that that, now can it?

And downloading any kind of anime is illegal, unless the particular anime isn't licensed yet. Don't know where you got that english subtitle story but it's false.

You could, I dunno, buy the friggin DVDs. :P
That's the best way. And you heard terribly wrong, it's only 'legal' to download anime if it hasn't been licensed (i.e. Hasn't been released or announced to be released domestically). And I use the term 'legal' loosely, with that. That means pretty much all the current popular anime that you've probably watched on CN (Kenshin, Bebop, Trigun, FLCL, Big O) and whole boatload of other stuff is out of the picture. So yea, go with purchasing the anime, much better that way.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

I don't know where people are getting this from, but it's NOT legal to download ANY anime, whether it's licensed, unlicensed, or whatever. Fansubs are just as illegal as pirated dvd rips. Fansubs are just a lot more acceptable because they (theoretically) don't hurt anyone.

The simple answer is, because people want to think it's legal to download anime for free.

If you can find a place to rent anime, that's always a viable option.

Though renting and then ripping a DVD is technically illegal, I guess :P
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

 Some people here forgot that there are people who can't read anything but well written english...

Please, write correct sentences, it was already difficult for me to learn english, I don't want to learn how to understand that too
Typo mistakes are ok...but what does "u" mean, can't u write "you" instead ?

And yes, you can download episodes with english subtitles. The best solution is to use a peer 2 peer application (too bad you can't use Kazaa...) and to download realmedia files with subtitles. Try to get exclusively DragonBallZ episodes (ripped from subbed VHS is the best)...if you don't have lots of bandwidth, it's even better, there are some realmedia files that exist at about 10MB/episode, try to find these ones, they won't eat your bandwidth, and you'll have nice footage to make a great AMV.

Sorry...
God, I'm angry again...what happens ?
RAWR (oh my skin is totally green I look like a cactuar...)

Are you kidding me Erwan? Your english is 10 times better than mine, and I've been living in US for 2 and 1/2 years now

But I completely agree with you... grammar, spelling and punctuation are the best friends one could make :P
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
