Looking for...

Post by Orasa » Fri Oct 10, 2003 11:01 pm

An AMV! LOL Or else a codec I can use to fix the sound on the copy I have...>.>

The filename of the AMV I have is AMV - Inu-Yasha - Miroku's Guide To Buddhism....
It's in .avi format, but the sound won't work. I've tried opening it in Windows Media (so it'll automatically download whatever codec I need) but it keeps giving me an error for some reason. I'd really like to be able to watch this vid with sound, it looks hilarious!

So, if someone could help me out, I'd be very grateful!

Try getting the xvid codec - go to http://www.doom9.org and get their Gordian Knot Codec pack - pretty easy to get it all in one scoop.

Nope...it still won't play the audio ;.;

Thanks anyways, though!

Try downloading a divx codec. You can get it at http://www.divx.com.

These are all *video* codecs - they wont assist this person in HEARING the music.

It is most likely that the audio is divx3.11a audio for which you need to install divx3.11a - newer versions of divx do not decode this audio.

If it's anything else I'll be surprised.
