For video editing, I'd go with the GeForce. It's frame rates are faster.RavenW wrote:I am building a new system and am wondering which would be better to get, the Radeon 9600pro or the Geforce fx 5600. I can find both for about the same price (trying to keep it cheap).![]()

Frame rates have NOTHING to do with video editing ability.narcted wrote:For video editing, I'd go with the GeForce. It's frame rates are faster.
The Radeon. If your other choices are limited only to the GeForce FX. The comparison between the FX and the Ti GeForce cards is like the comparison between the Celeron and Pentium CPUs. FX might be more affordable, but they also lack any guts, and basically suck in comparison to the Ti cards and the Radeons, just like Celeron sucks in comparison to everything.RavenW wrote:I am building a new system and am wondering which would be better to get, the Radeon 9600pro or the Geforce fx 5600. Oh and I know that ATI make the Radeon cards and nVidia make the GeForce cards (and I also know they are not the same country)SS5_Majin_Bebi wrote:The Radeon.
