Cthulhu is an H.P. Lovecraft creation, introduced in his famous story, <a href="http://www.gizmology.net/lovecraft/work ... .htm">"The Call Of Cthulhu"</a>, some 75 years ago.

Essentially, Cthulhu is an Elder God, an Ancient One, prehistoric and from before the time of man. He sleeps in "death", in a sunken city called R'lyeh. It is said that one day, he will awaken and destroy the world. He is said to induce madness in those who gaze upon his many tentacled face.

Lovecraft is a fine writer, mostly because his brand of fantasy horror had a unique, modern aspect to it - the ancient, unseen, and unknown mixing with the mundane present day.

More of his stories can be read <a href="http://www.gizmology.net/lovecraft/work ... m">here</a>.

Bah! I'm lucky if any of the cafeterias on my campus manage to refrain from serving leftover spagetti twice a week. :x For the record though, I love sushi. One of the best meals I've ever had was at a sushi restaraunt called "Sharaku" somewhere on 13 Mile Rd downstate. In addition to the wasabi and soy sauce, they had these really thin ginger slices that added a nice flavor. My favorite type of sushi is probably either eel or sea bass; of course tuna is good too.

My university has a Cthulu Worshippers Society. Really.

Isn't it illegal to reserve food in a cafeteria/resteraunt setting?... My campus is actually pretty cool about that sort of thing--they've got most of the food places set up more like food courts in malls, with a lot of franchises. We've got Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Einstein Bro. Bagels, Subway, and now a franchise sushi place... there's also a couple of cook-to-order grill spots and deli counters. And supposedly they revamped the actual cafeteria so that it serves decent food now...

Where on 13 mile? Cuz the friend whose brother goes to Tech lives in that general vicinity in Warren...
