In that case, I'd recommend the following:

Boogiepop Phantom: Very good story. A bit confusing at first, but it all comes together at the end.

Gasaraki: A more realistic mecha show than most.

Slayers: Because it's hilarious.

Saber Marionette J: Also very funny. Sorta like Tenchi Muyo with female androids.

Hey, everyone. ^_~

I know people before me have said this, but I just need to reinforce the point-- KareKano, or His and Her Circumstances, is an absolute must-see... especially for those who have a soft spot for romantic comedies. ^_^

yeah that shows good too. I got that ultra edition super box set thingy with all the cool extras (pencil boards, OST cd's, whole show, commentary, some weird card thingys) for only $50 at best buy. But its one of the slower kinds of shows,which alot of people dont like...course i do obviously --; ooo and i'd like to suggest anything made by JC Staff such as Azumanga Daioh, Ai Yori Aoshi, Excel Saga, etc. its pretty much all good --;

heh we watched th first two episodes in my anime club at school a while ago. It was pretty funny, we were able to relate it to jsut about every pop culture icon.

you have the MIB car, Your protagonist that looks like James Bond, He lives like batman, and even has his own version of Alfred, then theres his mech that has this pinhead that reminds me a zord from Power rangers. then theres the enemy mech in the beggining that looks half like a lobster and half like the tick ... Oh, and about the car, it's remote controlled and it has rockets on it like james bond. the only reason we didn't call it a rip off is becaause apparantly it's much older then all those things. But i thought it was pretty funny.

Read or Die

If you want James Bond style combined with the imagination that you could only find in an anime, along with great character developement and glamorously well-done action scenes, go with this three-episode OVA. 8)

Yeah, I agree with Garylisk that Gunslinger Girls is going to be good. I saw the first episode of it yesterday and it was pretty awesome. Other new series's to watch are Fullmetal Alchemist, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari, and Avenger. They all show great promise.

Mad props on that one. I want to see more, now.
