Interesting Evanescence facts

Post by dwchang » Fri Oct 10, 2003 4:09 pm

Along the lines of the previous thread about this, Evanescence has gone from "not on the list" to #4 on the "Most used Music" list in the span of ~a year with 252 videos.

It's too bad "Evanesence" only has 86 videos made with it and is only #30 on the list.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that 86 people put the same typo in? It's also disturbing that the same band is on the list twice. My guess is all of them are using a downloaded MP3 off of Kazaa and it had the typo. Anyone who owns the album would spell it right.

/me remembers the person who sent into AWA PRO "Angels Deserve to Die" by System of a Down.

If you're going to pirate, might as well get the name right.

Back to the topic, if you combine the two bands (the typo one), Evanescence is only 3 videos away from being #2 on the list next to Linkin Park.

Too bad it'll need ~1100 more videos and I certainly don't want another 1100 videos to "Bring Me to Life."

So yeah, a year and it's already made that much of an impact in our community. *sigh*

Wasn't there a thread about what would be the next Linkin Park? It would appear we have our contender at #3 on the most used music list.

Same way 'Dragonball Z' and 'Dragon Ball Z' are the most used animes?

Bah! I suggested the same thing with anime almost a year ago :-P

Stuff like:
Evangelion, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Dragonball Z, Dragon Ball Z, Drags On Ball Z
Escaflowne, Vision of Escaflowne

and so on. He actually said he was going to try and implement something for that although that was a year ago

It is irritating, but then the biggest effect of screwing up the name of the song/band you're using is to make you look like a gigantic moron. So justice more or less serves itself. ;)

(However, I think "Wake Me Up Inside" is a remix of "Bring Me to Life," or something.)

The table(s) holding the anime list must be huge. It'd be easy to prune duplicate entries individually, but to go through and clip them all out would be quite a time-consuming task.

I think Phade has other priorities :P

Anyway, now I have to make a "Bring Me To Life" video. It will be done to Steel Angel Kurumi the Second.
