Seems everyone is checking out Anime-Mid-Atlantic, which is pretty close (both in date and location). But is anyone at all going to Nekocon this year? Even more so, anyone entered in the AMV contest?

My sister and her friends at college are going to Nekocon... They'll be in the Cosplay doing a parody Escaflowne skit. But none of them make amvs and the only other con they go to is Katsucon...

I'll be there. Going up Friday afternoon and coming back home on Sunday.

This is my first time attending this con. (I stick with Animazement, being in the same state as me and all) I hope it's fun.

Awesome. I'm to be hosting a Sentai/Tokusatsu Panel sometime on Saturday I believe. Come see it for an interesting look into Sentai or just to interact with a real life a-m-v.org newbie.

What was wrong with the AMV contest last year?

I got confirmation that the panel is scheduled for Saturday 5:30-7:00. For a first time out, I'd suppose I couldn't ask for a better time... doesn't interfere with cosplaying or anything.

I'm going to be at AUSA as well this year, since it's just a short drive away from me. I've heard that lots of other amv creators will be there, so it should be a good time.

The Nekocon AMV contest showing will be via a Netstream 2000 this year (as long as everything doesn't go terribly wrong). No more bad VHS master tape. As soon as I get passed the videos from the contest coordinator, I'll be verifying the quality and ensuring the best playback we can get.
