Do you take you online privacy seriously?

Post by Lyrs » Tue Oct 07, 2003 8:53 pm

Do you delete delete your cookies? Your temporary files? Your WMP recent list? Your recent list? Do you monitor your cookies manually? half-manually?

Do you use a data scrubber to wipe clean those data or any data? Do you make sure to have the top pop-up blaster? Latest vrus defintions?

Do you not use leaky software such as Outlook? Do you use multiple email accounts for different things? Do you give out your email?

Add further if you want.

Privacy? On the internet?

That's like a contradiction in terms.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

Ehhhh, online privacy? whats the point? i mean seriously...
I really don't care, i'm not breaking any rules... well I am but still. Half the information on the net is a crock of shit anyway. The other half is porn, hentai, philosophical and physics theories and of course ebay.

Maybe when i get myself a job i'll take it more seriously but until then... heh

I care when viewing porn, but that's about it.

I have multiple e-mail accounts, most of which use aliases and false physical addresses. I even go as far as to make the password reminder questions relevant only to the aliases I make up, and not to myself (just incase someone decides to hack into them).

I'm not paranoid with the other stuff, mainly because I'm not up to speed with the internet. I know enough to get the information I want, but not enough to fool around with my computer.

As for other security measures, I have a slew of home-made self defense weapons, and I've been considering rigging some non-lethal booby traps around the perimeter of my room. Then there's that weapon's cache I was getting around to making, but I didn't have the lumber or time to make it deep enough underground.

We're two of a kind.
