a .ORG web browser tool bar

Post by XenoDrake » Tue Oct 07, 2003 9:03 am

like yahoo or google, wouldent it be nice to have a toolbar where you can have links to the forum, a search vids opintion, custom buttons for like going to general AMV or WOT in one click. course, an easy access guide button and space for a button that links to the donation page. maybe make it skinable, so it can match your choise in skin on the org web pages. i dont think its to hard, but then again, im not a programer. still it would be kinda kool to be able to browse other web pages, and stil have quick acess to org stuff.

comments, ideas?

eh, i dont like having too many toolbars, since they clutter up your window. an a-m-v.org toolbar would be a bit helpful, but its not worth the space it would take up for me. the website is pretty well arranged as it is, so there's not much of a need of a toolbar.

Also, i think Phade said something along the lines of "If you want it, find how it's done, and send it to me..." or something similar...

so Xeno, you want it, you might have to work for it. heh

Well I found this nice program,
http://www.text-reader.com/explorerbar/index.html
and was able to make a basic toolbar out of it that lets you visit the org by clicking a button. Its quite a simple program to use, and would allow for most any functions one would want on a toolbar. However in order to distribute the bar to others, it requires a $100 registration fee. So meh, screw that.

How many people use browser toolbars? I'm willing to bet that most people don't.

The last time this subject came up, I made a toolbar that (as a test) lets me search for videos by anime. Then I got busy with other stuff and didn't touch it again. :D

I don't. I try to get rid of them wherever I see 'em. I mean, I might even be looking at the button to press that'll save me 5 seconds but I won't use it.
