Im gonna give a very brief description of it as to not give anything away.

Name: Hellsing
Genre: Action/Adventure/Horror?
Total Eps: 13
Total Eps dubbed: 13
Produced by: Gonzo
Dubbed by: Pioneer

The story revolves around the notion that vampires and demons do indeed exist in this world. The anime itself takes lpace in England. It is based around an uber powerful vampire named Alucard who works for the Hellsing organization. They basically hunt rogue vampires. The series itself tends to be pretty dark natured and somewhat gory but at the same time very artistic. The soundtrack to Hellsing also adds to its nature. Over-all I would rank it at about 7.5 out of 10. Its a cool series but not the greatest ever (This is probably due to it being only 13 eps long). The story tends to develop like your usual anime, beginning by dropping you in the middle of the story and having it develop from there. Its not the thickest plot around but it is more focused than most.

Hopes that helps you some. I'm sure I didn't give anything major away. If I did then Im sorry. 8)

yea mas got it pretty much.

but one thing, the anime is only 13 episodes long because it wasn't recived so wll in japan so it was sort of abruptly ended. How ever i belive that the manga is complete and should be available in NA some time soon.

If you can't get the DVD's yet, and you have digital cable, the Action Channel is running Hellsing on their Animidnight on Friday nights (midnight to 1:30am, of course!). I watched the first three episodes last week, and I'm hooked already.

One problem, though (WARNING: SPOILERS!!!)

Alucard could've easily shot the priest vampire in the head, and avoided having to bite Seras Victoria in the first place. But no, he had to just shoot through her! As ditzy as Victoria is in the show, I sympathize with her, and have to say she got a raw deal.

However, seeing as she was already bitten, why didn't they just give her blood transfusions, until she could develop a taste for drinking blood? She wouldn't be starving herself, and could maintain her morality.

That's the problem with the "civilized" Japanese. If the females aren't accepting the guys pushing them around, they think there's a problem.

Hmm, that's an interesting way of looking at it.
