"Euphoria" Video Queries/Ops
*I'm not sure if I'm posting about an age-old video or an old topic, apologies if I am*
Woah! Just got the Euphoria video by Koop/RVP (helped out by Tab, FlintTheDwarf and AtomX) and I must say, it is the single most crafted and well done video I have ever seen. I just wanted to ask a few questions about it.
What programs did you guys use? I mean, all the effects in the video couldn't have been done with Premiere, could they? I mean, a good portion of them looked like just well-configured motion settings, but the one I'm really interested in is that hexagonal tile effect. It looks really good, but what is it, and how the hell did you do it? That and the flashing lines of footage at the beginning. The spinning tiles at the end looked good too, but I figured they were just funky motion settings or something. If not, what were they?
Good work, people. Fucking love that video. Couldn't see anything wrong with it at all.

Oh yeah...forgot I could do that.... oh well.jonmartensen wrote:Uhhh, PM or E-mail dude.
As for the effects: a good few layers and time+effort.
Hmph. Before I get to that level I'm gonna need some significant hardware upgrades, but my Dad promised he'd get me them, considering that he reckons I have innate talent for computers and multimedia and I'm being held back by the computer hardware I use..... wish he'd hurry up and buy the fucking things I need though......I do have talent, and he's right when he says that I could do better given the correct hardware....

Actually, thats a good point.... I dunno, I just view 256 mb of RAM and a 40gb hard drive at 5400 rpm to be a little on the woefully inadequate side, thats all. And editing on a 12 inch monitor is just fucked, no matter how you look at it.trythil wrote:Since when did equipment become a limiting factor?SS5_Majin_Bebi wrote:I do have talent, and he's right when he says that I could do better given the correct hardware....
If you knew what kind of stuff Koop used to produce your God, you'd probably freak.

Koop used a a $40 music editor and mspaint to do this video (please tell me if i am wrong). oops i told him >.> As for his computer, i don't know what he's got but i know it's not a 1337 editing machine. It doesn;t matter what program (well some editing programs can only do cutting and merging) or what computer you have, you can do ANYTHING!!!! effects are good if you know how to use them. Koop knows how to use them very well.trythil wrote: If you knew what kind of stuff Koop used to produce your God, you'd probably freak.

AtomX, Tab, and I did very little. All I did was the intro and outro because his comp was being all screwy at the very end.
Koop spent so long on that, and deserves all the credit. He used Magix Music Maker (I'm guessing for all the motion) and MSPaint (for the shapes and whatnot).
Anyway, I know Koop likes it when people enjoy his videos but he doesn't want it glorified and that's his main reason, as far as I know, for withdrawing from the Org.

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I guess if you're not a part of the solution then you're part of the problem, hey.
But wow, thats good work using those tools anyway.
