Yami no Matsuei(Descendants of Darkness)

... I just got the DVD for my birthday, and I thought Yami no Matsuei was an OVA?

I mean, the DVD isn't numbered or anything, so I don't see how there could be more than one DVD... It's just that there were 3 episodes on the disc and then a preview for a fourth episode.

... I'm confused.

How many eps does Yami no Matsuei really have?

... Er, the first DVD is called "Vampire's Lure" I guess... what's the second and onward DVDs called, is what I should be asking.

There's 13 episodes, but they are sorta like mini-series'. There are four arcs.

Each dvd has all the episodes from that arc.

There's the Vampire's Lure arc (episodes 1 - 3), the Devil's Song arc (episodes 4 - 6), Tarot Curse (episodes 7 - 9), and the Demon Reckoning arc (episodes 10 - 13)

The discs aren't numbered...because they're not. Dunno 'bout you, but more than half of the volumes in my collection (DVD and tape) don't literally number the volumes "volume 1," "volume 2" and so on. You just have to look at which episodes it has on it.

DoD would be one of those that doesn't number them, I guess.

Stupid not numbering... That's almost as confusing as NightWalker DVDs were!

Anyway, after "#1",
What're the DVDs named(in order)?
I'd like to buy them, but I have no idea what I'd be looking for...
... Plus some people are still buying me belated bday presents, so I'd like to give them in order, so I don't miss some odd volume...

The Trigun dvds weren't numbered either. I agree, it is confusing when companies do that. It's not as bad as the way Viz did the Battle Angel Alita manga though. In order to tell which volume came next, you had to read the synopsis on the back, which often gave away certain plot points contained in that volume. Guess wrong, and let the spoilers begin
