it shouldnt shorten the drive life that much. You need to remeber when ever your comupter is one the HD is spining at 7200rpm and all it pretty much is using is a electo maginet to write and rewrite the drive. What fails on the HD the most offen with the spining mecnizizm which is always working when you computer is on

I did it! YAY! I Scandisked it on AutoFix and started defraging it. I had to open a few things manually, but that's better than nonstop rebooting.
Crap, you guys are helpful! Thank you....
I still hope I'll be able to get summore RAM before the computer becomes obsolete...

Another thing- Webcellerator. Has anyone else been tricked into installing it? It's got my computer by its virtual balls! The internet won't work without it now.
Thank again :D

i don't recomend cleaning your registry unless you know what your doing. If you go in there and haphazordously deleat everythign insight you'll kill your computer and it will just cost you a lot of money. BUt if you do go in, be careful and read everything, make sure your not getting rid of soemthing you need.

find and download a registry cleaner that automates the process of finding old and/or bad registries. they usually work very well.

search for registry cleaner

I have to wipe my drive like once every two or three months, and if i dont do it myself my computer will just stop working for some reason my computer just keeps deleting a System .dll file. So im formatting like once every two months.
