Need a pointer in right direction

I have used Virtual dub to make a .wav file of a anime title. I need to trim the .wav file to get just the song I want.

I have d/l a trial version of Sound Edit Pro 1.3 but Im in the dark on how to use it. And it keeps locking up my PC to point of rebooting.

Can someone recommend a cheap or freeware wavefile editor so I can edit the wavefile.

I used search but most questions seem to be how to edit .mp3's or seperate audio from video. I didnt see anyhting relating to what I am trying to do.

Nevermind. This thread can be deleted. Found a used copy of SoundForge 4.5

So easy to use even I could figure it out.
