what is this sites ftp, and what exactly is ftp?

it doesnt matter what type of ftp you use. i use ws ftp pro works great. and you find the sites ftp information when you go to upload your video. an ftp in general is file transfer protocal.

FTP is a protocol, like a way of interpreting a language. http is another protocol you're probably more familiar with; it allows you to read html pages. ftp allows you to transfer files to a FTP server - basically a big computer that just stores and transfers data, but no one actually uses it. The Golden Donut is what Phade decided to name the FTP server that he has graciously allowed us to store our videos on. In order for us to transfer the videos on our computers to that server, we need to use FTP. we dont actually see the code or data transmission, we just use convenient little programs like WS FTP or cuteFTP that make it easy for us to transfer our videos to the Golden Donut.

the ftp address of the Golden donut is nago.animemusicvideos.org. To access the Golden Donut, you must also have a username and password, which will be given to you when you request an upload for a video you have created.

if your looking for a client, smart ftp is the best ive found so far, just as user friendly as cuteftp, but without the cost
