megamanx 4 was really good in my opinion, the only other game i played that was even related to anime was sword of the berserk gats rage and that game kicked all ass, best dreamcast game i ever played. oh yeah the tenchi muyo game for super nintendo i downloaded the untranslated verson and played till i understood what each comand was.
but i don't think i know what you mean by anime style cut scenes i've never seen a game with these other than megamanx4 i mean is it becoming a real problem, i mean are they giving anime a bad name?

no one said zone of the enders. lots of people were dissapointed by that game, i thought it was really fun. yet fucking short. zone of the enders 2 is gonna fucking rule. they are making it strictly action and no scavenger hunting crap like in the first one. JEHUTY IS THE BEST MECH EVER! aside from temjin of course. hey, there's another anime game. virtual on. i consider that anime. and street fighter counts too cause it had its own anime. same with fatal fury. there are alot more then i thought...

I am nor just talking about games based on anime, but games trying to make their graphics look aniem, and using things liek anime cut scenes. I like this little trend they have going.

I've got to agree. I loved this game, it was fun to play (except for the scavenger-type missions), the control scheme is far better than Armored Core, and though it wasn't developed fully the ending was good too.temjin wrote:no one said zone of the enders. lots of people were dissapointed by that game, i thought it was really fun. yet fucking short.

Other good video games (All PSX RPGs actually) with anime cut scenes:
Valkyrie Profile
Breath of Fire IV
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (Although it's combined with CG graphics. Blue Submarine 6 style.)
Thousand Arms
Rhapsody
Arc the Lad
Vanguard Bandits also has anime cutscenes, but it's not a good game. Super Robot Taisen series kicks it's ass hard.
And speaking of imports a lot of them have good anime cut scenes out there, but hardly anybody knows about them state-side.

Actually now that you mention it, one of the first games with anime type graphics was FF Tactics (that game is teh rox0r.) and the others would be the mega man legends games. Given MML didn't to the best job anime was clearly what they were shooting for.
