Well, here's my take on it.

The only time I ever plan to make a video purely for other people will be when I get the pure satisfaction of seeing the look on their faces when they realize that I played them for all they were worth, and they had the wool pulled over their eyes the whole time. I mostly make videos to make people laugh, or even crack the occasional smile, 'cause the best gift you can ever give someone is happiness, even if it's for just a fleeting moment.

Or possibly a stolen road sign.

I hate the following when someone writes and op on one of my vids:

"Your Idea was solid.....[says lots of other stuff here]....your idea here could have been a lot more solid"

WTF is solid meant to mean?

"A very original vid.....[says lots of other stuff here again]....using DBZ has been used too much so you get a 1"

but shouldn't something original made out of something unoriginal be even MORE original!?

VILG DRYD!!!!!!!!!!
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

If you make a video for yourself then why bother distributing it in the first place? If you made it for yourself and you don't care what other people think then why do you care if people see it or not?

its more of a proof of creation thing, if you have a lot of vids listed, but none to find, people would think you were faking it.

What Fire said in an older topic wrote:I personally do feel nice if someone likes my video. But I could honestly care less if someone happens to not like it, or care about a bunch of numbers attached to the video that, in the end (oh, multi-level pun there), don't mean anything.
Let's put it this way, if 99 people don't like my video, that's fine; everyone is entitled their opinion, and you can't please everyone all the time. A hobby isn't about pleasing other people. But if 1 person aside from those 99 does like my video, then that means a lot to me. On the flip side of the same coin, if I detest my own video, 100 people telling me they love it probably won't change my opinion. It still means a lot to me that they like it, and I appreciate it, but I can still think my video sucks anyway.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

If 99 people didn't like your video, there is probably a problem/mistake with your video, and you should try to fix that problem/avoid that mistake in your next video. This doesn't mean you can't have your opinion that is separate from the opinion of others. It's just that you should pay attention to how other people react to your video if you want to get better. Of course, if you're really doing it for yourself and only yourself and not caring about improving, then you don't have to listen to what other people say.

Err, what I'm saying is you don't have to accept other people's opinions as the gospel, but you should at least pay attention to them if you want to improve.
