Super GALS!

I found out that the next showing in RIT's Anime Club is the first 4 episodes of Super GALS. Can anyone give a synopsis of this series? Thank you!

Super GALS! Kotobuki Ran, perhaps?

It's a cutish, colorful series about hip teenage girls in Shibuya (a hot district of Tokyo). The main character is Ran, who is the "queen" of Shibuya and who also comes from a family of police officers. The show details her and her friends adventures on the streets of the city.

It can have some aspects of "public service announcement" to it (at least, that's what I think, after reading some of the stories in the <a href="http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/waiwai/index.html">WaiWai</a> section of the Mainichi Daily News and comparing it to some of the episodes).

It was fansubbed for a few episodes, and then quickly licensed. A DVD was recently released, but apparently it is <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... 1691">less than stellar</a> in execution.

I'd recommend as a light, fun series, based off the few fansub episodes I saw.
