Evolution, yes or no?

Since we have a highly combustible topic on religion, let us also start one concerning a slightly different area. It was quite fun returning to the forum after 2 days absence and finding 18 pages a disputes

and I hope people will post in here with similar "enthusiasm"

Now I used evolution in the title, because I want this to be about a topic counter to some religious beliefs and is a theory. I did not mention natural selection, because it is an idea that has much more concrete proof, and is observable in the short term as well as the long (it's not very fun to debate a topic that has proof leaning almost all to one side)

So what are your views of "Evolution" both in the short term arena (more of a natural selection thing) and more importantly when it comes to the long term ideas about it, and it's extensions to the idea of all current life originating from one source?

If so, who made God? Did something go 'poof' and suddenly God was there? Or did another God make him? and if so, who made that God?

Sorry Jon, but if you call Warped and Lyrs arguing for 16some pages about whether Jehovah is okay with fags or not dispute, then I'd suggest you try to regrow some brain cells and soon.

That said, I'd need to know exactly what kind of 'evolution' we're talking about. Is this downright phenomenalism science? If so, it's not very disputable. Or does this also include religious belief and other forms of evolution/development?

Anyways, I mean evolution. It seems you are thinking about natural selection, which is hardly a debatable topic. Evolution vs any other beliefs on the begginings of life is a topic which is quite open to much discussion.
