A question concerning a video I have in mind..

If I made a video with a combination of videogame (such as Final Fantasy) video clips, cosplay clips (of the particular game), and popular internet stuff (like 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us')—don't ask why, because I can't tell you—would it be considered an Anime Music Video, and therefore would I be able to upload it to the FTP?

first consider these two rules set down by Phade (Site Admin):

Thou shalt not use downloaded video footage to make AMVs.
Thou shalt not use downloaded music to make AMVs.

1) The music won't be downloaded, it will be ripped from an OST.
2) Only the stills will be 'downloaded', the actual footage will be ripped.

Does that mean, you haven't already made the video?

as for uploading, you'll have to wait for Phade to give you approval.

I made the video a year or so ago, but I plan to revamp it for several reasons; I could have done better, it's encoded at a very low bitrate, it's in WMV format, and I am going to be rewiring it in order to fit the theme of a-m-v.org. Or so I am going to try.

Will Phade reply in this thread or do I need to e-mail him/her personally? If s/he wants, I can upload the first version of the video to my own webspace in order to give an idea of what the video is like. I don't want to elaborate here, because the video holds a surprise of the sorts, and that is basically what the video revolves around.

I don't know Phade's sechedule, but he'll likely be able to answer you within two days (if he doesn't get hit by a bus or similiar).

You could send him a private message. As for uploading your video unto your webspace, it's your choice, but my guess would be not.
