Mwah! i just wanted to know what you people think about good ole LOTR. Love it, hate it, indifferent? Or, are you like me, where you madly devote a part of your waking existance to it? Books, movies, or both?

Books took a little getting use to. Movies were nice, not all book scenes were shown though.

I hate lord of the rings....but the best part in it was when that fat guy drowned in the lake, that was awesome

Return of the King was my favorite book of the series, But I prefer Terry Goodkind's works.
And damnit, He's popular enough!

I have all three of the books but I don't know when I'm gonna have time to read them with my schedule of work, anime, and video games. I love the movies though and I can't wait to play the Return of the King PS2 game.

well he didnt technicaly drowned cause frodo saved them. i though it was funny when gollum called sam (fat hobbit) a fat stupid hobbit. best line out of the two towers. return of the king is my favorite. i read the two towers and return of the king. cant wait for the third movie.

I think the movies are some of the greatest movies put on this earth and the books are great, i would recomend reading the books because it is a different experence then watching the movie.
