To be fair, the Eva thread is 'favorite' Eva vid, so it's more opinion based than anything else.

Well I wasn't referring only to that thread. We've had plenty of other "What's the best eva video evar!!!!1111ONE!!!" and other such topics. So the question still stands

hmmm, In my case, I've been running into wall's instead of leaping forward.
I had no intention on hurting anybody and the best way to discribe me is a kitten with a Lion's Mane taped to its head ^^ ( hehe - if I ever did hear a lion roar, all you'd ever see me would be a streek-of-lightning and the taped-on Mane floating in the air as it slowly falls to the ground ^^ )

This question I have raised is out of frustration in trying to find "what is good"
verses what I've been running into ( and those were really really bad ~_~

As far as the question of best of the best, I can see now that that question is
totally unfair and should not have been asked - however, I also found answers
to many questions that others seem to also be looking for; and as such, I
do hope that this thread will be usefull to someone else who might have
been having a hard time finding what they are trying to find also ^^

I think I see where you were going with this, post-it, but everyone has different tastes. That's why we have favorites lists for everyone individually. There's really no way to make a road map to the best videos in all ways, because everyone likes something a little different.

So there's really no way to make it easy. You just have to look around until you find what you like.

Basically what I was getting at is that saying something is the "best" or "ultimate" is a matter of opinion and you're just going to inflate one person's ego and deflate another's. We can state our opinions, but saying something is the best, perfect or ultimate is just an opinion.

Well, to be honest, I'm on no real side of the Euphoria debate, and have no strong opinion on it. Sure, it's a nice video, I like it, I'm amazed at the technological aspects of it - but otherwise - hey, it's a vid. Beautifully made but doesn't make too too much sense to me as I'm yet to see Rah, and plus, it's made to a kind of music that doesn't particularly engage me (nor does it offend me or bor me, but still...)

I have several things I've been looking for, several of which I've found. Many I yet did not. In particular, AMV's to certain kinds of music, and AMV's with particular sorts of artistic ideas/approaches.

Sure, fancy effects are nice, and they work on me too, just that they're not gonna win me over when it comes down to it. But an idea I consider interesting certainly will.
