Euphoria fell?

Post by Nemoxs » Sun Sep 07, 2003 12:20 am

I guess it finally fell off the top...

But I've been thinking... Instead of a scale like we have now, why dont they make a new scale like MTV'S?

Every week like the top 10 downloaded videos are shown on the front page or something, ^_^ just an Idea.

Or perhaps we should go Mtv way again, and retire videos that have been up there for more than 60 weeks? just a thought :P

I can't belive how many new videos are showing up on the top 10% though.. I guess it's fall cleaning eh? clean out the old, bring in the new.

The star scale is now on a weekly basis rather than the all time top ones.

I know but I'm talking about the more reliable "Score" scale.

What's the real point? Isn't it already sort of bad to have a ranking system to begin with? All it leads to is people giving overly inflated reviews or hurting each other all for the sake of "rank." It's sad that it matters that much to some, but to create something like that on the front page will only encourage it even more.

And yes, I do realize that having the top 10% helps fans find "good" videos easier, but doing this is beyond that.

Sorry to sound like an ass, but hopefully you see my point.

Alot of vids show up at the top at first, after 50+ they tend to find a good home/range on the list :P No need to call attention to it, or else your just asking one of the euphoria reviewers to go "OMG NOO I'LL FIX THAT RIGHT NOW!!!!ONE"

I forgot... do all 1's reviews even count towards the top 10 scores when people do this (to lower videos that aren't named euphoria  )?

I believe Phade purges these scores all at once throughout the year. I find it humorous that people do it even though Phade gets rid of them.

As for what Nappy said, that's the exact reason why we shouldn't draw more attention to videos and have even more "ranking."

If it's not your video, why do you care what it rates?
