Places that are worth sending in my AMV

Post by DuoEnigma » Sat Sep 06, 2003 1:51 pm

So i just finished my first AMV, pretty much many of the anime cons I wanted to send in my video the dead line is over. Any other cons or good places I can send my AMV to?

There's also Neko-con in Virginia Beach, VA. The deadline is October 1st.

Hey, the video that I submitted to Otakon was only my second ever (and my first using Premiere).

And it got to the finals.

So don't let lack of experience discourage you.

You should definately start by submitting to local/regional cons. My second video reached the finals at Anime Boston 2003. My third video made the finals at Otakon. If you have the ability and have a good video, then lack of experience shouldn't detract you from submitting to a big convention.

Unfortunately, the 2003 con season is winding down to a close, but there are a couple (like Nekocon and AUSA) still around. Keep in mind that if you don't win, you can keep submitting your video to cons for another year or so if you don't win or don't make it to the finals. And if you do win... well, then you've won, and should try to best your previous effort in your next video.
