I don't know what you mean in the first post, but what he said *points*
The anime goes halfway through the game - it ends right where the first disc of the game ends.
It follows just about the same plotline, changing a couple of minor things, leaving a couple of things out, and adding some other minor things. But since the plot is pretty simple to begin with, yeah, it's more or less the same.
And it's "Rena."

If you watch more than one ep you'll have that drilled into your head. "Claude!" "Rena!" "Claude!!!" "RENA!!!" "CLAUDE!!!!!" "REEEENAAAA!!!!!"
The anime is not great on its own, IMO, but if you like the game it's entertaining enough to follow all the characters (which was one of the game's strong points to begin with). Conversely, if you liked the anime and don't mind "you're the hero, now go over there and stop the bad guy" plots in RPGs, I do recommend the game. One of my favorites, obviously. 8)
