I didn't even know you could give yourself opinions until recently... and personally I wouldn't and I think the whole idea is stupid. If you have anything to say about you video say it in the video information. If you want to rate your videos against each other give a list of your favs on the profile page. Taking the time to write up a decent opinion on your own video is silly and would be better spent opping another persons video or improving your own video. And if you are simply going to give it all 10's or something... why bother? If people see the creator giving all 10's they will simply assume you are biased and ignore it anyway. Plus only people who have already opped your video will see it unless you make it public and that would just seem so conceited to me.

People who create multiple accounts in order to give themselves praise have some serious problems...
I mean at the end of the day they will know they didn't really get that praise.

Also I think it's pretty stupid because the reason for opinions (I think) is to see someone else's perspective.

I agree with what everyone else has said so far. Opinions are for personal use, but they're for the creator to see what he/she has done wrong in their video and how other people recieve their video. You already know how good you think you're own video is, you don't need to tell everyone else how good you think it is, because that makes you sound conceited and arrogant. And don't think that rating your video with all 10's is going to make others follow suite.

THE reason why I reviewed some of my videos :

1 opinion minimum to get on the list
(Remember, you can give your own opinion to count as the one. =)

Agreed.

However, all of you are right on the all tens thing with the people and alternate accounts...

Anyway, my view on it is, if you're going to delete it from your HD or something and never view it again, mght as well leave an opinion for future refernce of what it was so history just doesn't disappear.

Or, if you're getting a ton of downloads, but honestly want good feedback and are too lazy/shy to ask for it in the op exchange, give yourself an op s it'll show up in the most underrated.

I've done it in the past to let others know what I thought of my video, but now I wish I hadn't, since it's just as easy (as I remembered later :roll: ) to put that in the comments, as has been stated already.

It can be tempting though... especially when you're 1 opinion away from being in the top 10% ^^;

I kinda wonder about why someone would op their own video. Seems to send the message that you're not all that sure of yoursself and you think your own vid might suck, so you have to try and prove otherwise. I've seen lots of great vids that I never left opinions for (I would say "yet", but I don't know if I'll ever get around to it). So I sorta stopped caring about whether or not people leave ops for my vids. I just hope more people than not enjoy 'em. It's nice to get feedback, but if people don't hate them enough to leave flaming comments about my ineptitude at creating AMV's, I figure I'm okay.

Now, if I could get my newest AMV uploaded without my internet dropping off every ten minutes, I'll have another vid for people not to op. 8)
