I will request a moving of this thread, though I will not change my views on the video, if it is not playable on my system, then something is wrong. I am sorry for bringing this to the public, but it's people like Nemoxs that piss me off when they can't take someone's op into consideration even if it's criticsm. You have to consider the people that are op'ing your vid, and the lenght of the op(a paragraph or longer is good, not two sentences for god's sake :? ).

Nemoxs
. . . the worlds worst critic is yourself ^^ . . . relax a little 8)

This appears to be a downloading problem on your file, nothing more.
( it happens to everyone at sometime or another - I've had my share too ~_~ )

no one is chewing you out for what you have done, we are just letting you know that, "something strange has happened to your AMV" and -we- are hoping that you might know how to correct it - that's all ^^

. One of the first things we've learned in making Sub's and AMV's are that "not everybody has the newest computers available to them" which means that "we as encoders" need to make our Video's playable to Everybody.
. My way of doing that is to use a Tested Codec that everyone "should have"
and prey that the upload was clean ^^ ( had no problems )

On my first AMV, I thought "everybody" should have been able to see what I had done and be able to View it the same way I encoded it . . WRONG!

My second AMV should have cleared-up that problem . . but . . again . . WRONG!

This board has some of the most helpful people you'll ever meet - but give them some room to play pick-a-part on your AMV so that you can see what the problems "with it" that there may be in it 8)

Trust Me ^_~

Okay, we have some sort of Apology from Summ. That's as good as it will get I guess. BUT, I do NOT recommend moving this thread, I recommend closing it, as this arguement has reached the end of it's useful life. No good can come of moving it to Off Topic, because there it will become fodder to some people who seem to dwell there all day to ridicule others (You know who you are, I'm not making fun of you).

Post-it had an nice piece of advice, and we should end this arguement on that not. I'm tired, and have school tomorrow, so I will be on-line tomorrow night to see who has flamed me.

Peace.

I shall post.

You guys are all morons :| sorry, but that's the impression I got from the reading of this thread. Nemoxs, you're a moron. Everyone who goes, ogm itrued wmp9 and mplayer2.exe and raleplyer and divsplayr, all clearly have no grasp on the windows conventions of playing video.

FIRST OF ALL. Nemoxs, make up your mind on what the fuck codec you're using. The other day you told me you were using Microsoft V1. Ok, you said this codec looked great and it was 90 mb. MSV1 is 12 years old and fucking sucks, the quality sucks, the filesize is gigantic. It's worse than Indeo.
MPEG 1 is completely freaking different. You vid seems to be mpg from the file I'm currently downloading, but knowing you I might be assuming too much from the .mpg extension.

Now, for chrissakes, for windows players 95% of the time it's not going to matter what player you're using. Players on windows don't.. actually.. really do anything except play streams back that it recieves through directshow or vfw. It dosen't do any decoding on it's own, it dosen't do any synchronization of it's own, so if you're having synch problems, it's not the player but the filter parsing and decoding the content.
If it's mpeg 1, most people's mpeg 1 decoders come in the box. But they should also work, so you the problem is probably on your side nemo. The best way to figure out if the problem is someone's filter is to try it in wmp 6.4 and then in virtualdub and see if they match up. If not, your filter isnt working or the file has shitty muxing.

To conclude, shut the fuck up.

Maybe by Microsoft V1 he meant Microsoft MPEG-4 version 1?
