Osamu Tezuka
I tried starting this thread at otakuworld.com, but not many participated. Mayhap you people here will partake upon it.
Anywho... I want to see (#1. even know who Osamu Tezuka is and (#2. what your opinions on him or his works are.
As for me, I pride myself as one of his "disciples". I am a big, big fan of his manga, especially Black Jack. >^___________^< Ke-ke-ke. I don't thin that there enough recognition of Tezuka and his works from anime and manga fans today. You do know that he is responsible for both anime and manga as we know it? Astro Boy being the first televised anime, and his manga being the first to be widely read in Japan.
So, blah-blah-blah. Now you tell me what you think.

Yes, I know who he is, and at the very least - (and though I'm not a big retro-anime watcher/manga reader) - very significant to the development of our hobby.
And I think that hat of his was very, very nice.

Yes, Tezuka was certainly a great man, what with Blackjack, Astroboy, and such. Of course, he did make a few mistakes, like when he tried to do the equivalent of an anime Fantasia....well, let's all just put that behind us, shall we?

I agree that Black Jack is an excellent manga that's still very enjoyable today, despite its age. We all owe Tezuka for something ^^
Oh, and you're right, Tom- his rate of output was astronomically high.
