Let me go on record saying how ridiculously bad Akon has been the last 2 years, as far as the AMV contest.

They take a broken projector, a 2 head VCR, 50 terrible videos, and they call that a contest.

When I confronted the fat balding pasty faced anime nerd who was running the contest about why they only accept VHS, he said it was for compatibility. When I told them about AWA's rules and various ways to solve the problem he just started mumbling.

Oh man I wish he posted here. Seriously the worst contest I've been too, twice in a row. They treat it with as much respect as they do the conession stand guys.
