This says that the same video should only be uploaded once. If you upload a video you should not upload it again using a different name just so you can get the mpeg version, the avi version and the quicktime version just so you can please everyone. Remember, this is a free service that Phade is providing us with and if you want multiple versions online then you should either a) buy a server to host them off of or b) find a friend to host off of. Phade only has so much space on the Golden Donut and when people decide to put out all these versions it takes away from the already rapidly decreasing space he has. I don't know if anything can be done to get rid of ones already here or if you can even do anything to stop it from being done anymore but I think this should be brought to everyones attention.make sure that the uploaded file is the final version of your video (no beta or test version of the video should be uploaded).

All right. I feel there is a big problem on the org. People are putting up several versions of the same vid up for local download. In the upload video process it says

I just wish I could upload a "better" version of my Together video... [there was an fx glitch which I SWORE wasn't there but then it caught my eye and now I'm booting myself for it....]
I wish we had JUST a little more control over our files... [like instead of just [once that's it...] Deleting older [un - cool] files to put up "updates" would be good I think... [also saves space ^_^] (no uploading unfinished betas... only whole vids... it's just unfortunate I screwed up just a little
)
Another minor thing is that if it's the same video, I see no reason to catalog two versions [like a 'norm' and a 're-mastered]
Why the freck have two when they're the same vid? [quality? blah, who'd want the worse one anyway?]

Same thing's happened to me. I uploaded the "final" version of my AMV then discovered a problem with itI wish we had JUST a little more control over our files... Can't really complain though, as longview says, it's free

It's a good rule so far as making people think and scrutinize their videos before they upload so as to rule out a majority of human error.
it's my guess that Phade may allow members to upload fixed amvs so long as they contact him with a well thought out reason and he agrees, but considering that i'm not Phade, i wouldn't know.

I thought that's why there was a confirm upload feature. I had to try 3 times before I got the right version of my last video.I wish we had JUST a little more control over our files...
