Huh? 20 bucks cheaper? Here where I live they had the Japanese Soul Calibur 2 month ago, but for 110 Euros!!?!! where normal GC games cost 50 or 60. And the boot disc to play it also costed 30 bucks.leathelanime wrote:Same here(import)...I just wanted to hear spawn in english, Just wondering...do you think it's cool to buy games that are in japanese (judging if you dont know a lick) for 20 bucks cheaper and sometimes inferior compared toi the US or EU versions? But if you think that's cool then be my guest
But I can't wait for Monday to get my copy of the PAL SC2 with additional Characters (Rock and another) over the Japanese version.
But if I could get the japanese version cheaper, ealier, then sure I would buy it as long it isn't that text driven as say - Zelda the Wind Waker.
Peace out,

CvS2 eh? Well you're in SoCal so I can understand the ownage going on there. You guys got....John Choi I wanna say. Yeah I know a little about the SF scene. I'm not good enough to be "in" it perse, but I play with them every once in awhile and get owned...badly. Funny thing is, I'm not that bad, but you know how good "pros" are since you're in SoCal. Apparently Austin/South-Area is lower than you Westcoast and Eastcoast folks.ErMaC wrote:Yea I play some fighters now and then. These days I only play CvS2, but I used to play a lot of MvC2. Nowadays though I don't measure up to the competition at all, since all the good players here in SoCal just kept getting better, whereas I still play the same way I did 2 years ago. ^_^
As long as you got a working MAS for me at AWA sure I'll play
And I'm not 100% sure you can buy the parts, you may have to send them your stick and they'll add it. They actually have a new model out now with additional buttons that will act as the 4 directions on the yellow stick on the GC controller, it's pretty neato.
I know what you mean about playing the same. I still use N-Groove while everyone seems to have migrated to A and P-Groove.

Hmm...bringing a stick? Might be hard since I gotta fly and packing it will be painful, but I'll see what I can do.
Regardless, I know we're gonna play GGXX and SC2 or what I'd like to call "MerIC/VegettoEx ownage"

See ya there!

Well, I'm gonig to rent it whenever it isnt sold out at Blockbuster, but I'm already dubious since its a 3d fighter. Sure they're more realistic, but they're so damn slow. Virtua Fighter 4 could be forgiven just because it was insanely realistic at points, but, for me at least, Guilty Gear cannot be beaten. However, SC2 would probably be a lot more interesting if, say, Faust was in there as opposed to the old guy with the bad haircut.

I just got the japanese Import of SC2 yesterday (PAL version isn't out yet) and all I can say, the damn thing rocks the fighter-world!
Everything is beautiful animated - Link is in there too ^_^ - it is very fact-paced action although you have very tight controls. It's just that weapon master-mode is a little hard to read with all those kanji
