Some of the questions are pretty hard... would you have passed?

This just drives home the fact that the US education has done absolutely nothing but lower standards rather than BETTER educate students. 50 years from now all you'll need to know to get a Diploma is how to spell your name and know left from right. Wtf.

That is a pretty hardcore exam, I think that if given one altered to todays standards and with a bit more time and recap on my study I could have a crack at it. Also the history section would have to be Australian and the measurements also.
But in all likelyhood I would only just pass.

Why would the exam ask who people were, when some of them were still alive.

That would be like a quiz today asking who Bill Gates was :?

just took the test . . no even going to try answering:
History:
5. Tell what you can of the history of Kansas.

hmmm . . naah! . . this test would have been fairly easy back then.
- I've noticed that many many things which "we" went thru in high school are not even covered in college anymore T_T and in 1895, a college education was usually reserved for Doctors and Lawyers.

Answer, yes - I would have passed this test in 1895 and only missed one question today because i never lived in Kansas.

The history is what threw me off. The rest wasn't so bad.

These questions seemed TOO mediocre. I practically DON'T give a damn about most of them.
