Ok, for the record...

the forst documented AMV was back in 1983 to the beatles song "All you need is love" to Starblazers. If was done by James Kaposztas.

He also did a Gundam Video to Mr Roboto back in that time as well. That video is a bit more known by us old School people....

Okay, I got the anime wrong. Sorry. ^_^; heh.

I knew they'd been around for a while, but I was always impressed that they've been around way longer than most people realize at first. A lot of the people making vids now weren't even born when AMVs got started. :? (erm, I was four myself, but ya know.)

Somebody who knows all that stuff can fill you in; I have a horrible head for names. I just remember that it was done in 1981 or so, with Macross and the Beatles' "All You Need Is Love."
You are right for the most part but I do believe if I recall correctly it was 1983. Since I think he said it was a 20 year anniversary of making amv's. Or something like that. But I do agree with you on the video.

You're not that far behind Vlad! Well, atleast you had the chance to make videos the hard way with two vcr's and everything.. Nothing that many of the new people would be able to do nowadays with everything being digital... I wish I had the chance to do that!

Yes, lets see some of your videos Vlad! And try to bring the Star Trek one! If you can.... :D

I don't know if I'm spoiling something, but I think Vlad is showing some of his live-action videos (like last AWA) at the panel and he is submitting one as well (I think). Correct me if I'm wrong you old cannuck you :-P
