Oh, and dwchang, don't bother going for 100% on Wind Waker. All you get for completing the Nintendo Gallery sidequest is yet another statue.

I always found Mitsurugi and Siegfried to be very good characters in SC1. Siegfried in particular had long range, high power, and wasn't actually all that slow. Easy to pick up and impressive to watch, and then once you got better at the game you could just move on to someone better. Of course, Mitsurugi is basically Kenshin...

Roger Dodger! Thanks..although I haven't been particular about getting everything in most of the games I'm catching up on, but you never know. Then again Suikoden III I probably will try and get all 108 characters since each game has something special for the *next* game if you do. Yeah, it loads your previous data from the previous game and changes the game...it's awesome!Savia wrote: Oh, and dwchang, don't bother going for 100% on Wind Waker. Well, in order to do the Gallery, you need to get a (colour) pictograph of each and every character and enemy in the game (with the optional exception of the guy that only turns up if you have a GBA connector), even the crabs on the beaches. Your Picto Box can only hold three pictographs at once, and they take a whole game-day each to transfer into models. Certain plot characters (eg Tetra) are very hard to get, as they are rarely seen out of plot sequences. Some of the minor characters disappear after certain events take place. Some you can only get with the Legendary Pictograph sidequests. I believe that there are ~140 characters to get. Your ultimate prize (other than a full gallery and a bit of pride) is a statue of Link on the King of Red Lions.dwchang wrote:Roger Dodger! And that Suikoden idea sounds great! A genuine reason to *want* to get 100%. The Spyro games and Ape Escape had cool bonus levels / the final boss respectively, too.

Sounds like too much work. I think I'm just gonna play and beat it like I've been lazily doing with most of my games (other than Suikodens).Savia wrote:Well, in order to do the Gallery, you need to get a (colour) pictograph of each and every character and enemy in the game (with the optional exception of the guy that only turns up if you have a GBA connector), even the crabs on the beaches. Yup, it's a great incentive and a great concept considering it all takes place in the same world (in all 3). After you beat 1 with all the 108 stars, it loads onto 2 and changes a few things like levels and more importantly, you can recruit the main character from Suikoden 1. I haven't played 3 yet (will soon), but it also asks for your data from 2, so in theory, the data from the first one (way back in 1994) could be used in Suikoden III.Savia wrote:And that Suikoden idea sounds great!
