Yeah, besides, I don't use Adobe video tools anywaydwchang wrote: As for Adobe raping me. I don't know man, my ass feels sore every once in awhile after editing. And since you guys (Hsien, Ian or Andy) are predictable, no it has nothing to do with Trythil asshats!

unless Photoshop counts, but I consider that to be more of a still-image processing tool...
Nah, I'm friends with a lot of people who create AMVs way differently. Most of them don't want to touch After Effects, Combustion, Shake, Jahshaka, Dutruc, or what-have-you in the world of video compositing and FX; but hey, who cares? Shunning people for what they use is a rather dumb action, right?SarahtheBoring wrote: Nobody you care about, anyway. Only some "idiots" who dare to like something different than you.
Mock on, gentlemen; it shows what mature individuals you all are, and how completely free of conceit and narrow-mindedness.
About conceit and narrow-mindedness: The original poster is basically saying "well you should only use After Effects/whatever sparingly". Isn't that rather narrow-minded? I mean, we're all just dorks having fun with computers. Nobody should, and nobody will, enforce their own wants and desires re: AMV styles on someone else. My guess is that everyone thinks that everything has been said, and now this thread is just degenerating into meaningless posturing and the like, like 99% of the threads on Internet communication systems tend to do. It doesn't hurt anyone, and no one should take it personally.
Besides, it could be worse. Godwin's Law doesn't seem to apply here, thank goodness.
