Post by Farlo » Sun Aug 24, 2003 12:04 am

The next Iced Earth album, "The Glorious Burden" is complete! The vocals were handled by Tim Owens(as most of you iced earth fans already knew).

I didn't really enjoy the vocals on those tracks. Musically it was great and certainly has Iced Earth all over it! But Ripper doesn't seem to fit the style Iced Earth has developed over the years (especially during the Matt years).

I'm still buying the album when it is released though.

I miss Matt.

My spirit begins to rise into the heavenly skies
Just to be shunned away by you
Now all I want is to die
No streets of gold in the sky
And I wash my hands of you...

I miss Matt and I will always think he was the perfect Iced Earth singer but I feel that Tim Owens deserves a chance. I listened to the music and I enjoy it I feel in time if Tim Owens continues to be the singer the band will get better. Honestly I am optimistic about Iced Earth's future, I think Ripper might bring them to another level vocal wise.

I know how you guys feel.

There's this AWSOME band called Further Seems forever, they used to have the most perfect singer, Chris Carrabba.

But Chris broke off to go do his own thing, which you guys would now recognize as Dashboard Confessional.

FSF has never been the same since, and never will be.

you'd have to know your mainstream.

he's a solo act, him and his accoustic guitar. Tho he just came out with a new Cd where he plugged in and got a bassist, and a drummer.

Anyways, the details on him arn't importent.

If you've kept tabs on what's mainstream through out the past 10 years you'll of heared of Dashboard Confessional. He won several grammies (sp?) or what not.
