Do ya get along with your folks?

I was more than ready 3 months ago, and directly challenged my parents to hand-to-hand combat right then and there. However, my father just yelled at me, and walked away, while my mother played spin-doctor. I can't get their respect or attention unless I throw the first punch, and if I do, they'll call the cops, get me busted, and play the role of the victim.

You have to understand my parents have no concept of guilt. They'll do whatever it takes to win, but I still have an ethical code that holds me back. They're in the dominant position in this war, because it's my word against theirs, and they'll pull their whole "innocent victim" crap if I fight back.

Anyone got any suggestions to defeat an enemy who can spin-doctor their way out of anything better than Stalin?

The trick to getting along with anyone is just to see them as minimally as possible, the less you see them the more there is to be happy about and the less chances to screw up and make each other angry, which is why no one should live with their parents after age 19 or so
