What to do if you aren't a rich mofo...?

See, I like making AMV's. I really do. It's just that I'm 15 years old and don't have the resources(money) to purchase ripping software OR the DVD's themselves to make my own personal video. I'm stuck using other people's videos(don't worry, I make them for my own personal enjoyment, I don't upload or share them anywhere) to make mine. With that in mind, what would you suggest I do?

I can't help you but I can give you some moral support. I haven't made anything even resembling an amv except for the ones in my mind...
At least you have the access to people who'll let you use their stuff; none of my buddies are that into anime.

BTW, we're the same age! Glad to know I've got peers.

I hate it when people use their age as an excuse. I was fucking 9 years old and I went out and mowed peoples yards for like 5 bux and thats how I got my damn income. Age doesn't mean shit, all it is, is that you dont want to go out and work and actually by stuff. So my advice to you, work and purchase what you need. BTW this isn't just focused on Dirk_Temporo, its focused on all those who use these same damn excuses:

1. Im only XX years old
2. I dont have money to buy dvds
3. Im too young to work
4. I live in Antartica and there is no Sam Goody here

Valid suggestion or not (probably not), I have this to say: Blockbuster or Hollywood Videos.

AMV-making with DVDs will usually cost you money whether you like it or not..

You know in some states there's an age limit on how old you can be to work, and physical disabilities can get in the way also.
And 5 bucks a yard doesn't make amv's does it?

OH MY GOD. I SEE A PATTERN. Money adds up.

Stop complaining that you're too young to work. Even if there is an age limit, manual labor like mowing lawns is just fine, If you choose not to work, then you obviously don't have any initiative or passion to make an AMV.

If you really want something you'll be willing to work for it.

I find it hard to believe that a family who can pay for internet can't afford a DVD.

Im not being rude, Im just being straight with him, using excuses is lame. and 5 bux doesn't make amvs but if you work your ass off you can buy the stuff that you need. And there is an age limit on how old you can work in a professional business but mowing yards and such doesn't require a certain age. Mowing a neighbors yard or a grandmothers or something doesn't require a work permit. Also your comment about PMSing is in very poor taste (joking or not), if I were a women I would hit you.

*waves hand in air* Hello? I never said anything about being too young to work. I'm in High School in a town that has 6,000 people. There's nowhere to work anywhere near me. I had a summer job but it was an hour's drive away. I'm almost 16 and can get my license but my mom won't let me drive unless I get straight A's. So I DO actually have a problem.

Oh and all the money I made at the summer job is either going towards driver's ed, insurance, or video games.

Like I said before my previous posts aren't really focused just on you, more so on the general public who use similar excuses. I know there are times when its impossible to get a job, but using age as an excuse just doesn't work. People always seem to blame age for things.
